About Us

Krista’s story

For 14 years I have worked to help children, adolescents and adults to understand and overcome trauma, improve mindfulness, and generally lead happier lives. My clients range from children and adolescents who have experienced abuse or who have abused others, asylum seekers,  adults struggling with a range of concerns, to people looking to lead more balanced lives or become more effective parents.

All are welcomed in my practice with compassion and without judgement or preconception. I utilise a wide range of therapeutic techniques and my approach is flexible. I work with each client to develop a customised approach in a safe environment. If you or your child are coping with a traumatic event, feeling stressed or anxious or simply want to improve your quality of life, please contact me or read on to learn more about my practice.

Working Together

I have a particular interest in exploring ways to creatively engage with people through the use of art, story, movement, play, the body and through connections with others. I am a qualified yoga teacher, specializing in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga; and often use this as a tool in assisting my clients to begin building a relationship between their minds and their bodies, through breath and movement.

My role is to help empower clients to connect with strengths and skills they already possess and to integrate these with new skills and ways of being. On a personal note, I believe life is a journey and I find meaning in supporting people. I continue on my own journey of self-knowledge through personal reflective therapy and professional supervision as a commitment to my own self-care and practice.

A Safe Space for You

The range of therapies that I utilize are drawn from evidence-based research findings in psychology, family systems, and the impact of stress and trauma upon the human brain and nervous system. Additionally, I specialize in deeper psychological mind/body oriented therapies that bring a more holistic and integrative approach to your well-being. I tailor all sessions and therapeutic approaches to best meet your needs at the time. Your emotional and physical safety within the therapeutic space is paramount.
